So Good (single)

‘So Good’ was written and performed as a personal wedding song to Sidney’s wife, Teresa, in 2001.
The Nashville home wedding event had planned for a possible visit from the very near train tracks and they did not disappoint. The ceremony was interrupted by not one, but two trains going opposite directions, intersecting and blasting their horns for what seemed like forever. The backyard dinner tables all had wooden train whistles as a centerpiece and a guest keepsake. It was a great wedding and party, put together by the greatest of friends, that lasted into the sunrise without a single neighborhood complaint.

A part of me that I never had
A light I’d never seen
Standing at the start of the Universe
They’re smiling back at me
If I had never met them
I know what life would be
I’d be standing at the edge of the Universe
With nothing looking back at me
(chorus)
And it’s so good to love
And let somebody love
It’s so good to see
Love smiling back at me
We’re standing on a mountain now
With a thousand people on the ground
And all of them are smiling back
Feeling the love going around
It’s hotter than fire, it’s stronger than words
Deeper than tears in your eyes
Love is the soul’s melody
So, Baby, let it ride
(chorus)
And it’s so good to love
And let somebody love
It’s so good to see
Love smiling back at me
(Bridge)
Forever ain’t such a big thing
Knowing it’s with you
And if I forget to say it when I’m eighty
Baby, I love you
(chorus) x 2
And it’s so good to love
And let somebody love
It’s so good to see
Love smiling back at me
